people so much.
Japanese people have something like gene that says that they have to
harmonize with its surroundings. So Japanese people firstly say “yes”
for everything.In additon, they say “sorry” at every piece of opportunity. This “yes”
means that they are definitely comrade to their surroundings. This “sorry”
means a little complicated. Japanese people have specific culture including
that concession among each other would solve anything.
But it’s different on English.
If you would like to agree with some denial sentence, you have to use a
denial sentence or just “no”.
For example,
T: I don’t have to attend the meeting in tomorrow morning?
you: (if you agree with it) No, you don’t.
If you answered just “yes” in this situation, T would have come to the
meeting while T don’t like to. And after that, you would have been blamed
on it.One another example;
T: We would like to make cooperation for strengthen more this project A.
you: Yes.
T: SO that I do not like to put more investment on the other projects such
as B.
you: yes.
T: Oh, you would think that you like to invest B as well as A?
You have to tell “no, i will not” if you agree with his “I do not like” .
